Although Nordost loudspeaker cables are also available terminated with spade connectors, we highly recommend the use of our low mass Nordost 4mm banana Z plugs where possible. These light weight, tight fitting banana plugs are made with gold plated Beryllium copper. This low mass design preserves the low capacitance and inductance of the speaker cable at the termination point. Nordost Baldur interconnect cable The BALDUR interconnect is the first in the Nordost range to offer our proprietary “Micro Mono-Filament” technology. Nordost Valhalla reference interconnect cable Valhalla interconnect cable from Nordost makes the most neutral cable connection ever developed. Nordost MoonGlo digital interconnect cable The MoonGlo digital interconnects are a unique product designed to eliminate the effects of mechanical noise and resonances found in digital signal leads. MoonGlo consists of two separate micro coaxial cables. Each coax consists of a silver plated, multi filament center conductor, covered with a layer of FEP. This is shielded by a dual layer of silver foil and extruded with FEP. The two coaxes are twisted around two cushioned filaments of FEP and then an outer jacket of extruded FEP is applied. VALHALLA Digital cable uses our proprietary 'Dual Micro Mono-Filament' which greatly enhances audio / video performance. The surface of each conductor is highly polished before a precision Dual Micro Mono-Filament is wrapped around it. This technology uses two FEP Mono-Filament threads wound around one another. These dual Mono-Filaments are then drawn around the conductor in a very precise helix pattern, this introduces more air space around the conductors and insulation contact with the conductors is reduced by more than 85%. Each conductor has 78 microns of extruded silver over solid 8N OFC cores which has a FEP tube extruded over the Mono-Filament. In the 75 ohm version one conductor is used and in the 110 ohm version two conductors are bonded together. A double layer of served shielding is then applied around the cables. |

Nordost Shiva power cable SHIVA is a new power cord from Nordost which redefines performance and value for money. The Shiva dramatically improves the performance of all audio and video components, offering a much more detailed performance with a lower noise floor. The Shiva Power Cord uses our proprietary 'Micro Mono-filament' technology to enhance audio / video performance. The cable consists of three silver plated solid OFC conductors suspended in a Micro Mono-filament design. By using solid core, silver plated oxygen free copper conductors, strand interaction, hot spots and carbonization, which can occur in stranded cables, are eliminated thus ensuring optimum performance. Using a precision twisted FEP Mono-Filament thread, drawn around the conductor in a helix pattern, insulation contact with the conductors is reduced by more than 80%. Extruded FEP insulation is superior to all other materials in that it has a very low signal loss and a high thermal efficiency which means that it dissipates heat very quickly. This allows greater power to be transferred more efficiently. Due to the use of FEP Micro Mono-Filament construction, which has a very low dielectric constant and minimal insulation contact with the conductors, power is transferred extremely efficiently. Micro Mono-Filament technology increases current flow, improves transmission speed to over 80% the speed of light and dissipates heat. This design lowers the resistance of the cable and means that power loss is extremely low. By using very precise manufacturing techniques whereby the three Mono-Filament silver plated power conductors are wound in a special configuration, the impedance, capacitance, and other electrical specifications are maintained to very tight tolerances. Another benefit is to eliminate external EMI/RF interference. The result is superb sound and stunning picture quality. Nordost Vishnu power cable VISHNU is a new power cord from Nordost which sets a new standard for performance. Vishnu offers a superb sound stage and increased dynamic range in the audio arena. When used with video components color detail, depth and edge definition are revealed. The Vishnu Power Cord uses our proprietary 'Micro Mono-Filament' technology to enhance audio and video performance. The cable consists of three solid core conductors. These are made with extruded silver over Oxygen Free Copper conductors of 16 AWG, suspended in a Micro Mono-filament design. By using solid core extruded silver Oxygen Free Copper conductors, strand interaction, hot spots and carbonization, which can occur in stranded cables, are also eliminated thus ensuring optimum performance. Using a precision twisted FEP Mono-Filament thread which is drawn around the conductor in a helix pattern, insulation contact with the conductors is reduced by more than 80%. Extruded FEP insulation is superior to all other materials in that it has very low signal loss and a high thermal efficiency which means that it dissipates heat very quickly. This allows greater power to be transferred more efficiently. Due to the use of FEP Micro Mono-Filament construction which has a very low dielectric constant and minimal insulation contact with the conductor, power is transferred extremely efficiently. Micro Mono-Filament technology increases current flow, improves transmission speed to over 85% the speed of light and dissipates heat. This design lowers the resistance of the cable and means that power loss is extremely low. By using very precise manufacturing techniques whereby the three Mono-Filament silver plated power conductors are wound in a special configuration, the impedance, capacitance, and other electrical specifications are maintained to very tight tolerances. Another benefit is to eliminate external EMI/RF interference. The result is fabulous sound and stunning picture quality. Each VISHNU is hand built at our factory in the USA using high quality connectors. Each power cable uses high grade IEC connectors with Oxygen Free Copper contacts for improved conductivity. The design of the connector eliminates stress so that heat cycling and vibration will not loosen the contact points. IEC and military grade AC Mains Plugs are used in each cable. Nordost Brahma reference power cable Brahma Power Cables are extremely neutral and due to the use of our proprietary “Micro-monofilament” manufacturing technology. They are the perfect solution for optimizing the performance of Plasma Screens, Projectors and LCD displays as well as power amplifiers and other audio components. Brahma uses our advanced “Micro Mono-Filament technology”. The surface of each conductor is highly polished before a precision micro mono-filament is helically wrapped around it. A precisely spaced and extremely concentric FEP jacket is then extruded over each conductor. The conductors are made from solid 99.99999 oxygen free copper with an extruded silver surface. The five conductors are then precision wound around one another in order to eliminate any EMI/RF interference. This design reduces dielectric contact by more than 80%. The cable has an effective dielectric constant of 1.38, which is incredibly low, the reference point being air or a vacuum, which has a dielectric constant of 1. The reduction of insulation contact by more than 80% means that the current and voltage traveling above the surface of the conductor are virtually unimpeded by the insulation material. Each Brahma power cable uses high grade IEC connectors with optimized contact points for improved conductivity. The design of the connector eliminates stress. Nordost THOR Power Distribution System by IsoTek The Thor project has been a joint collaboration between Nordost and UK mains power specialist IsoTek. Thor is an elegant, full rack width, 6-way AC mains power distribution unit featuring sophisticated circuitry for dealing with mains noise and voltage spikes without limiting dynamic headroom. The unit is wired throughout with award winning Nordost Valhalla power cable to achieve optimum signal transfer and performance. The unit also features IsoTek's Polaris-X circuit technology which eliminates product cross contamination, effectively offering any hardware plugged into the unit a clean power supply. This proprietary system shunts AC mains borne noise to Earth without compressing the dynamics of the music. This design also isolates each piece of equipment electrically, effectively giving each one a separate AC mains spur line.
