Krell is perhaps the most famous audio brand in audio history. Even the very first Krell products of the early 80s can still hold their own and do things right that many competitor amplifiers still can't anno 2012. We at Solid State Audio have owned, repaired and modified nearly all generations of Krell and there is hardly anything we don't know about the brand, technically or sonically. Krell introduced F1 like pinnacle of high performance targeted audio equipment to the audio world that left the competition gasping for breath, which is something else than just marketing high-end luxury high priced gear.
